Eddie the Eagle is available for Biola departments and events. The suit is free to borrow. Your department provides the person who wears it. Submit the form at least 7 days before your event and we'll confirm availability.
How it works
- Fill out the form with your @biola.edu email.
- Athletics reviews it, usually within 2 business days.
- Once approved, we set your pickup and return times and send everyone a calendar invite.
Before you borrow
- Your own wearer. Athletics does not provide a performer, and the suit fits people about 5'1" to 5'7" best.
- Pickup and return. The suit is in a black bag in the gym stairwell across from the women's restroom, on the side nearest the soccer field. Return it to the same spot.
- Return on time, by the time set when your request is approved.
- Breaks and a guide. The suit is hot and the head limits vision, so plan a break every 20 to 30 minutes and have someone walk with Eddie.
- Keep it clean. Wear a T-shirt and athletic shorts underneath, wipe the inside of the head with disinfecting wipes after use, and let it air out.
- Shirt. Use only shirts with current Biola branding (XXXL or larger), with no old Athletics logos, especially in photos.
- Care. Your department is responsible for loss or damage while the suit is checked out.
- Blackout dates. The suit is unavailable for about two weeks at a time while it's cleaned, around late September, early December and early March.
